Why is the air coming from my air conditioner weak on the highest setting?

Weak airflow on a high setting usually means the unit is struggling to move air through a blocked filter, grille or hose. Clean and check the airflow path first, because that often restores performance without any further action.

Check the airflow path

1. Switch the unit off and unplug it.
2. Inspect the air inlet for dust build-up, pet hair or fabric covering the grille.
3. Remove and clean the air filter, then allow it to dry fully before refitting. The manuals recommend regular filter cleaning in lukewarm water with neutral detergent.

What to observe

If airflow improves after cleaning, the filter was restricting movement of air. If it does not improve, continue.

Check the exhaust hose and room setup

1. Make sure the hot air exhaust hose is connected securely and not blocked.
2. Keep doors and windows closed during operation.
3. Remove nearby heat sources where practical.
