To extend the battery life of the device the test signal is not sent constantly. It is only sent every few hours or days. So when removing the batteries, this action will not be directly visible in the app until the time has passed of the test signal being sent.
The following devices send out this test signal;
- Water detector - 2 hours
- Smoke detector - 3 days (64 hours)
When this time has passed, you will be informed in the app that the device needs attention.
